Queensland Country Week gives Brisbane and South East Queensland residents the opportunity to find out about the virtues of living and working in country and regional Australia. The expo allows people to meet community members from North Queensland and ask questions about relocating to, or investing here. In 2007, the Country Week Expo was held in Brisbane and Sydney in July and August respectively.
Townsville Enterprise facilitiated a North Queensland contingent to attend the event in Brisbane. The North Queensland group was made up of representatives from five of the region's councils as well as Townsville Enterprise staff.
Queensland Country Week is supported by the Queensland Government and the Federal Department of Transport and Regional Services.
