OUR STAKEHOLDERS

The Townsville Enterprise Economic Development Team works closely with many organisations to ensure the North Queensland region is being supported by strategic targeting, lobbying and activities to attract investment and people to the region. These organisations include local government authorities, the Port of Townsville, the Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry, and our diverse membership base comprising local and interstate organisations.

In close co-operation with our sponsors, members and other stakeholders we:

• Identify key infrastructure requirements and lobby for their development.
• Promote North Queensland as an investment destination.
• Undertake specific projects and initiatives to assist the economic development of all industry sectors.
• Provide relevant data and market intelligence to stakeholders and business members.
• Liaise with all levels of government and their agencies.
• Act as the peak development authority and point-of-contact for inquiries into the region’s economic development.
