THE CULTURAL CENTRE - Townsville is a world-class attraction hosting a unique collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, culture and history.

The Cultural Centre is a place to preserve, celebrate and display traditional cultural artefacts, dance and language, in addition to promoting contemporary performance and art that is created by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today.

A variety of informative and appealing activities are provided by the Cultural Centre, these include interactive cultural workshops, didgeridoo workshops, dance performances, group tours, venue to host conferences dinners and receptions and a selection of fascinating exhibitions.

The Cultural Centre contains an Interpretive Gallery, housing an exclusive collection of historic and contemporary artefacts along with information that has been collected from within the Northern Region. Guided tours of the interpretive gallery can enrich the experience.

Performances by both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people can be seen at the Centre.

The Townsville Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Centre will delight and inform visitors with its exhibitions and performances, it provides an insight into the traditional and contemporary life and cultural practices of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and is an Ideal venue for promoting their exceptional artworks to the wider world.
