Located in the tropical paradise of Townsville, North Queensland, the Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre is the region’s premier conferencing facility, catering for conventions, banquets, exhibitions, concerts and indoor sporting events. The Centre is directly adjacent to Jupiters Townsville Hotel & Casino, is within walking distance of the central business district and is no more than 10 minutes from the airport and many other accommodation houses operated by major hotel chains.

The Centre encompasses seven comfortable and stylishly appointed rooms that can be used individually or collectively in a variety of modes.

Auditorium
The Auditorium is a versatile space which can cater for conventions, exhibitions, banquets and concerts. Convention mode is created by shortening the Auditorium using curtains to a capacity of 1,768 seats. Five hundred of these seats are padded armchair seats with optional writing tablets. This seating can be adapted into numerous configurations seating up to 5,000 people in tiered and floor seating. To achieve exhibition and banquet modes, curtains are hung to cover all of the fixed seating to create 1,500 square metres of column free floor space.
Auditorium
Magnetic and Palm Room
The Magnetic and Palm Rooms are large side rooms which can accommodate a variety of different modes and delegate numbers. These rooms can be used as large single rooms or can be split into several smaller rooms using exhibition panelling. The use of exhibition panelling incurs an additional charge.
Yongala and Orpheus Rooms
The Yongala and Orpheus Rooms are suitable for intimate presentations or tutorials. Either of these rooms can also be utilised as a speaker’s preparation room, an organiser’s office or conference secretariat.
Cleveland Room
The Cleveland Room is located off the Queensland Foyer at the front of the building and is also suitable for intimate presentations, meetings or tutorials. With its own self contained ensuite, the Cleveland Room is ideal for a conference secretariat.
Queensland Foyer
The expansive Queensland Foyer serves as an excellent area for meeting registration, trade or poster displays, refreshment breaks or welcome cocktails for up to 1,000 persons.

Audio Visual
Since our beginning, the Centre has been at the forefront of technical production in North Queensland. From small corporate meetings to large concerts, exhibitions, congresses and special events our equipment and personnel continue to set benchmarks in service, expertise and client relations.
Our in-house Audio Visual Services Manager will be able to assist and co-ordinate all of your audio visual requirements for your conference. Please note it is a policy of the Centre that we supply all audio visual, sound, lighting and production equipment.
Food and Beverage
The Centre’s contemporary food style has an emphasis on the north’s finest ingredients.
The standard of food and beverage the Centre is able to provide for events of any scale is unsurpassed. From gourmet finger food to a sumptuous banquet for up to 1,000, anything is possible. Menus can be tailored to any budget, whatever you require the Centre can deliver.
