Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre

The Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre (the Centre) is a versatile facility located in the tropical paradise of Townsville, North Queensland, catering for conventions, banquets, exhibitions, concerts and indoor sporting events.  The Centre is directly adjacent to Jupiters Townsville Hotel & Casino, is within walking distance of the central business district, and is no more than 10 minutes from the airport and many other accommodation houses operated by major hotel chains.

The Centre has two rooms which can be utilised for themed dinners, the Magnetic Room and the Auditorium. Both rooms are fully air conditioned, carpeted and include tables, chairs, stage and dance floor.

The Magnetic Room is ideal for smaller dinners catering for 100 – 180 people. With an in-built bar, direct access from the Queensland Foyer and a ramp for disabled access, the Magnetic Room is perfect for such events as small conference dinners or Awards Nights.

The Auditorium is the ideal venue for those larger themed events, catering for 400 – 1,000 guests banquet style. With a pillarless ballroom comprising of 1,500 square metres, the theming possibilities are endless and restricted only by your imagination.

Along with the flexible solutions available in the use of our venue, our experienced and professional staff make planning and running events at the Centre a smooth and easy operation. From the very beginning an Event Manager is allocated to your event to be your one point of contact with the Centre. The Event Manager will guide you through the planning of your event, from the initial enquiry stage right through to being on-site throughout your entire event to ensure no detail is overlooked and that the event runs smoothly from start to finish.

In addition, our in-house Audio Visual Services Manager will be available to meet with you prior to your event and will also be on-site throughout the event to assist and co-ordinate all of your audio visual requirements.
