Sunferries provides the quickest link to Magnetic Island at just 20 minutes traveling time, and 19 return ferry services daily. All services depart from the Breakwater Terminal, which is conveniently located within a 5 – 10 minute walk of most hotels and meeting venues.
For meetings held on Magnetic Island, the timetable enables easy access for delegates to arrive at the conference venue. Ferries arrive at Nelly Bay Terminal, and each service is met by Magnetic Island Bus Service. The Nelly Bay Terminal is also conveniently located adjacent to key conference venues, Peppers Blue on Blue and Mantra One Bright Point, and within a short bus ride from other venues and accommodation houses.
Through our licensed travel agency, Sunsea Travel, Sunferries can customise delegate itineraries in consultation with the event planner, which can then be promoted through the event website and registration brochure to assist with delegate boosting. Partner programs, including child friendly itineraries, can also be developed. For conferences based in Townsville, event planners may like to consider functions or off site workshops to be held on Magnetic Island. For groups of 20 or more, group discounts are available, and additional ferries can be used to accommodate large groups.
